Upon retiring from the NFL, Mr Stephens returned to college to finish his Masters Degree in Finance and began his career in Banking and Mortgage Finance in 1996. After working with some of the biggest lenders in the industry from 1996 to 2004, Mr. Stephens realized that he could no longer continue working for others after learning all of the "dirty little secrets" of Banking and Mortgage Finance. Mr Stephens endeavored to start his own mortgage company and to expose the "ugly truths" of Banking and Mortgage Finance. Under the threat of prosecution for violating the terms of the Non Disclosure and Non-Compete Agreements he had signed and for revealing industry secrets, Mr Stephens simply said, "...this is just the right thing to do". Mr Stephens then set out to create a mortgage company that would deal openly and honestly with it's clients. To "open the books" so to speak. In doing so, A.D.Stephens,LLC has established itself as the model for all mortgage companies to follow. The 2 disk CD series came about from the realization that spreading the word one customer at a time just wasn't good enough. Period.
